Arrma Fireteam - Review

I was deciding between the X-Maxx and the Fireteam as the next big RC to get. The Fireteam won me over with its looks and I think the size (1/7) is a bit more manageable to throw in the car than the X-Maxx (1/5), especially if you are bringing a few cars with you.

I like to do trails and a bit of bashing when we go out. The Fireteam doesn't disappoint, it is extremely controlled and ready to fly in the air at the pull of a finger. The tires are super grippy, even in the snow. Snow bashing was next level fun. We attached a sled to it and it was able to pull us around.

Price is a bit high, I would really love to see this more in the Mohave price point. $750 is a lot of money for most people and I think if this is stretching the budget for you, I would probably stick to the new Maxx that came out. Smiles per dollar ratio may be better for you. If your wallet agrees though, this is a wild RC car and definitely wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

Important Specs:
Top Speed: 60+ with high speed pinion (50ish without)
4WD

What I have broken so far (50+ runs):
Body: I have removed most of the body panels as they have became broken and honestly I dig the cage style. Body panels will not last any medium to hard bashing. I would suggest removing them prior to bashing the car if you care.
Mechanics: Rear differential. The entire rear differential had to be replaced due to not only a broken orbital gear, but also the housing. Warranty claim covered the part 100%.
I also busted the front A arm and retaining pin with a hard hit on the front tire.
